Adult Bible Study
Southmont wants to provide an opportunity for Bible Study to all ages. We start by providing challenging study and striving to minister to age and gender specific groups. Our goal is to minister to people through our study groups while focusing on the truths of scripture. Through Bible Studies we are able to meet needs and grow relationships that serve to support during the difficult times of life.
Bible Studies provide a place for spiritual growth, fellowship and participating in God’s great commission of reaching out to each other and the world in His love.
We offer a variety of adult classes for all ages at 9:30 and 10:45 am.

Early Intergenerational
This class is open to adults of ALL ages. It covers an inter-generation of people at various stages in life. From Young Professionals, Married Couples, and/or Singles. Many enjoy learning alongside those who have experiences throughout all seasons of life.

College
This is a co-ed class for the college-age young adult, either enrolled in college or still trying to decide when and where to attend College. Depth in Bible study, community through small group and active service in missions make this a dynamic group with which to participate.

Married Couples
This class is for married adult couples seeking the words of Christ for a strong marriage. You will find ways to love each other and grow in your relationship.

Adult 8
This class is for those who attend the late worship service. You will find a great group needing community and fellowship. Senior Adult ages but anyone is welcome to attend.

Ladies Bible Study
This is a ladies-only class that welcomes women of ALL ages. These ladies are young professionals, single adults, married, single again. Bible teaching focusing on how to hear the voice of God and grow daily in our relationship with Him.

Engaged or Newlywed Young Couples
This class is for those who attend the late worship service. You will find a great group needing community and fellowship entering a new phase of life as newly married.

10:45 a.m. Bible Study Classes
Adult 1 & 2
This class is a senior adult class that is young at heart and committed deeply to the study of the Scriptures and the care of one another. There are couples, widows, and widowers in this class.

Adult 3
This class of senior adults includes the broadest range of age. They are committed to reaching people and enjoying monthly fellowships and supporting missions.

This class is what we might call one of our “bridged” classes. Life stage for these adults include married, some who have lost spouses, and some who are semi-retired or semi-employed.

You’ll find empty nesters, brand new grandparents, and an enthusiasm for life. The teaching time is lecture in format, yet you are welcome to join in the discussion.

Most of the couples in this class are helping their children finish up high school or college. Various ages and seasons of life.

This class is for married couples who are empty nesters and grandparents or soon to be in that season of life. You will find a great group of couples needing community and fellowship.

This is a ladies-only class that welcomes women of ALL ages. These ladies are single, married, single again or widowed. Strong Bible teaching focuses on insights to effective living found in God’s Word.

Special Friends Class
This is a class for those adults with special needs. This is a very loving, bible teaching time. Music is normally part of the class. Taught by trained facilitators.
